Our journey began within the shadows of the stage, behind the scenes, under the bright lights of so many main events. The founder of Crew Blacks (choosing to remain anonymous) arose from an accomplished background in the garment business, having successfully run a clothing line and retail operation in the late 90s and early 2000s. This experience was instrumental in shaping the vision for Crew Blacks - a vision centered on quality, functionality, and style.

It was while working alongside the skilled professionals of Hawaii's IATSE Local 665 that the founder identified a significant challenge within the industry - the scarcity of high-quality, durable, all-black clothing designed specifically for the rigors of stage and production work. This realization sparked a commitment to fill this gap, focusing on the needs of industry professionals, stagehands, production crews, media personnel and other movers and shakers working tirelessly behind-the-scenes.
